Erase Discs

When you're in Write mode, click the little 'Erase Disc' button that's to the left of where it says 'Test Mode' in the 'Destination' box.

Or you can do it via Tools -> Drive -> Erase

or you can do it via right clicking on the drive selection box -> Erase.

The program automatically erases discs when it needs to before burning.

Thanks for that Lightning UK.

Edit: Didn't work - the erase I mean. Came up with an I/O error and a whole pile of other stuff. I'm guessing there's a problem with the discs which are Verbatim DVD-RW?

I can't help you without a log.

Ok let's start by saying sorry I didn't realise I was sending you a PM, and sorry again if that's what I'm doing now. I thought I was merely posting on an open thread. Other Forums I use have a separate PM function, and as you have noted I have 0 posts that's because I'm new and was finding my way about. Having said that thanks for your help I won't trouble you, or this Forum, again.

Hello, allow me to step in here.

I was busy on my other pc and needed a blanc cd-rw on the spot. I only had some with data on it

and cud not find the erase function within ImgBurn. I hardly use this option (=never).

I did check out Tools, but drive was greyed out.

Am always working in the Ez-Mode.

Nów, after checking the fourm, I know I shd select Write and thén Tools-Drive-Erase.

Allow me to suggest: why not have some tools (like this erase one) available in

the ez-mode as well?

Just an idea, no criticism.

thanks

ps Oh, I resorted to use a blanc CD-ROM instead.

* ImgBurn is a great product! I stuck to Nero much, much too long...*
