Hi,

After several hundred ruined VERBATIM DVD-DL I ask you dear members of this forum for help.

Everytime when I've try to burn a copy of *.iso with ImgBurn Version 2.5.2.0 it comes up with the following error (log below):

PC I'm using to burn DVD's is HP Pavilion DV5-1060ew, as far I know there is a BLU-Ray device.

I've read couple of threads and to let you know I DO NOT have any Daemon tools or any of this kind of application on my laptop.

I'm after recovery of the system with basic application setup. Strange thing is that there was couple of times when I've managed to burn DVD sucessfully. Question is, if there is some kind of software conflict or hardware setup.

Any idea how to fix this problem?

Taken from a quick Google of the MID

I 15:00:06 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: MBIPG101-R10-65) (Speeds: 2,4x; 4x):

Your DL media MBIPG101-R10-65 is actually made by Moser Baer.

Moser Baer has made some decent media and some real garbage and unless you're familar with a specific MID, it's real crap shoot.

(MID = media ID, as displayed above in bold).

Add to this the problem of generally, poor firmware support for much of Moser Baer's media and you've got a recipe for disaster.

Your problems likely will disappear with switching DL media to Verbatim +R DL.

Please look on the spindle wrapper for made in Singapore (or MIS in forum jargon).

This is really the only DL media we recommend
