OS installation disc defaults

Hi,

while building a Windows XP Installation Disc, the...

"It looks like you may be trying to build an Operating System installation disc!"

...dialogue popped up.

One of the suggested settings doesn't match my Dell original disc:

"ISO9660 Allow Files Without Extensions"

I used IsoBuster to view the ISO & Joliet contents of the disc.

Under ISO, extension-less filenames end with a "."

Under Joliet, they do not end with "."

Its not a big deal, it installs whatever, but I

guess whatever is closest to the original is best.

Regards,

Dave

ok, I don't buy much direct from them.

The question was actually about the ISO9660 File-System.

Do extension-less filenames end with a "." under ISO?

(as I mentioned, I used IsoBuster to check this detail)

If so, defaulting to "Allow Files Without Extensions" would be incorrect.
