Do you have any idea what could it be? It's not just with ImgBurn that I can't erase a disc, but with windows 7's "erase disk" option and nero also. Pretty much, everything I have tried did not work.

I'm using an Acer Aspire 5742G laptop and the DVD ROM seems to be PIONEER. But I don't really know how to find out what chipset the controller uses. How do I do that?

Oh, and on acer.com there are no drivers for the DVD ROM and when I update the driver it says that the device is up to date. If you need more info please ask, cause I really want to solve this extremely frustrating problem.

Thanks
