imgburn stopped working suddenly!

Hi everybody,

I'm a new member here and I've got a bit of a problem! I've been using imgburn for ages now with no problems at all. I'm a bit of a newcomer to the world of backing up DVD's so I've been relieved to not encounter any problems so far, just learning as I go. However I've now got a tricky problem.

I've tried to burn a couple of discs and the below log shows what happened. Please note that I haven't changed anything from what I did before. Same computer, same drive and same discs used. If anybody can help me, I would be most appreciative.

Thanks!

It could just be that you have a few bad discs out of your spindle of discs, it happens. I've had 3 out of 25 of TDK +R DL (Ritek) discs fail. All I can say is try another disc, but also you should consider getting better quality discs. Verbatim discs (disc ID MCC), stay away from the life-series though as those are CMC-MAG discs.

Other than that, make sure your drive has the latest firmware and also try cleaning it with a cleaning disc, and see if that also makes any difference.

You can also open imgburn, go to any mode, then click on Tools -> Drive -> Check for firmware update, and you will get a window that will tell you what version you have and will point you directly to your version of firmware on firmwarehq.com like so:
