Can't erase DVD-RW

All of a sudden I am unable to erase DVD-RW. I have tried 3 disc's including 2 brand new ones,

I copied down the following info when I put in a brand new DVD_RW. After that, I just kept getting erasure failures.

I/O error

scsi status 0X4

Interpertation.........check condition

Interpertation.........write (10) 768-799

Interpertation.........unknown internal target failure

It seems that I can still burn regular DVD-R discs.

Thanks

I don't know how long you have had your drive, but..

E 16:48:36 Failed to Erase Disc! - Reason: Unknown (Internal Target Failure) (ASC: 0x44, ASCQ: 0xD9)

This kinda concerns me. Before panicking though try cleaning your drive with a cleaning disc, and also:

ImgBurn Version 2.5.2.0

You might want to update imgburn to 2.5.5. Also check for any firmware updates for your drive by being in any mode, click tools -> drive -> check for firmware updates then try again. Also maybe it is just that particular disc that is faulty.

If you have another RW disc, try using that and see if the same error comes up.

Thanks for your reply.

I have upgraded to 2,5,5 and apparently I have the most recent firmware. I really don't want to open the computer up as I'm afraid that I will screw it up.

Here is the log for the most recent burn attempt.
