ikilleduku Posted May 1, 2011 Share Posted May 1, 2011 I currently have a optiarc dvd+rw ad-5170s drive and want to know if I need to purchase a new drive or if this one will work. What one would people recommend in buying if my current drive doesnt work well, I will be burning 8.5gb dual layer cd's with it at 2x speed. Will the Samsung SH-S223C 22x SATA DVD RW Writer Burner be suitiable for this? I'd aprieciate it if anyone knows if I need a different drive and if I do which drive do you reccommend as long as it is relitivly cheap, thanks. Rincewind Posted May 1, 2011 Share Posted May 1, 2011 All current DVD+-RW drives should be able to burn DL media, - and + sort. Also note that you only think you are burning your DL media at 2x, but check your imgburn log.
