Hi!

First off, thanks for this forum!!

After a successful burn, the dvd will not stop spinning and will spin forever if it is not ejected. After I eject the dvd and reload, the dvd is empty. I am baffled.

Below is a burn log:

I 16:53:08 Write Type: Incremental

Any reason why you are using incremental? That could be the cause. Go to tools -> settings, write tab, and on page one select DAO/SAO instead of incremental.

Afterwards try again.

You selected 4x.

Either the discs are some no names ones (crappy) or you are in PIO mode with that burner.

Thank you Rincewind. I was originally burning with DAO/SAO (with the same problem, spinning) then switched to incremental as was suggested on another thread.

Thank you Cynthia.

I am burning with Taiyo Yuden (JVC). I read that they were one of the best Dvd-R.

I'm not sure the JVC ones are as good as the original Taiyo Yuden ones but they should still be fine.

As such, you have DMA issues. Follow the post in the FAQ that tells you how to fix them.
