Write Error - Loss of Streaming

I'm making a backup of the movie "The Hangover" bluray disc, I got the error "E 00:45:27 Failed to Write Sectors 10271328 - 10271359 - Reason: Write Error - Loss of Streaming". I tried it two times and got the same error.

I'm using a LG bluray writer, and unbranded bluray disc from a Taiwan manufacturer. I'm getting this error for some of my other backups as well, it happens about twice for every 100 backups. What's the cause of this error? Is it the burner? disc? And how come it doesn't occur for most of my backups as i'm using the same burner and discs?

Thanks in advance!

There is a firmware update for your burner: http://www.firmwarehq.com/download_1776-file_I100_WH10LS30_100830.zip.html

After updating your firmware, try again. If that does not work try getting better discs instead of discs that are Disc ID: CMCMAG-DI6-000)

Also make sure you are running the latest version of imgburn, latest chipset drivers, and latest service pack for your version of windows.

I also wouldn't have added that last part had you supplied a full log, and not cut off the log at the beginning showing the version of imgburn and OS you are running.

Good luck.

I 01:30:21 Operation Started!

Supplying additional info regarding my software version and OS version, I think Imgburn is up to date but there might be a service pack for windows that i haven't installed. I think my burner is also up to date. Why is some backups working but not others? Thanks.

Make sure you running the 1.00-A9 firmware. http://www.firmwarehq.com/LG/WH10LS30/files.html

Right click the drive selection box when you're in Write mode and click 'Check for firmware updates'. There you'll see the full firmware version number.

Your Pioneer has also a later firmware update. http://www.firmwarehq.com/Pioneer/DVR-218L/files.html

Yeah, SP1 for Windows 7 is out now, probably has nothing to do with the burn but you should update it anyway.

If the firmware update don't solve the problem, you should change the media for some better quality.
