ImgBurn says not enough disk space

Apologies if this has been covered before, i've searched the topics but still can't see the answer to my query.

I am trying to burn an 2,262,176kb ISO file to 4.7gb single layer DVD, image burn reports that

There doesn't appear to be enough space on the disk to burn this image.

Image size 1,131,088 sectors (2,209mb)

Disc size 2,048 sectors (4Mb)

If I replace the DVD with a dual layer media then it warns me that the file can be burnt to a single layer dvd, I ignore this and burn anyway.

Can anyone please give me a clue why the single layer dvd is not being allowed to burn the file?

Many thanks

John

Ok, I know that my disc is blank because it's new and unused so I tried another of the same make, windows shows it also has no used space and none available!!

Tried a different make of blank dvd and it works fine so problem solved.

No idea why the first dvd'd were showing as having no space.

Thanks for your help guys
