It looks like your drive failed to burn the disc properly or failed to reinitialise the disc properly - I wouldn't ignore either of those issues.

Notice that before you got the miscompare errors it said the disc layout didn't match. The layout mismatch is what then caused the miscompares - because the program is making up the data that doesn't appear to be on the disc.

W 14:47:00 Session 1, Track 1 is smaller on the disc than it is in the image file.

W 14:47:00 Disc's Track Sectors: 1 (TOC Sectors: 1)

W 14:47:00 Image File's Track Sectors: 2286096 (TOC Sectors: 2286096)

Try the 1.02 firmware update for your drive and try the other supported write speeds (start with 8x). 4x might not be the speed that produces the best quality burn.

It might be worth cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc too - it's getting on a bit now.

Hello,

Sorry for getting back at this topic this late, but was to busy to try these things out. I installed a new burner ihas and still maintained the same errors. then i noticed something on sptd drivers so i uninstalled deamon tools an then manually the sptd drivers that came with that program. then my ihas burner was fine but the nec still the same so i took that appart and cleaned the inside damn that was dirty i used rubbing alcohol and came of yellow (used to smoke behind pc) lol. reinstalled and burn now whent fine. funny thing it happend after update of imgburn as i burnt succesfull just before update. anyways the drivers where also a problemn after the update so that is cleared also. just my last burn trying to backup a x360 game still gave me errors and didn't work so will try to backup one of my other gamnes maybe the image was faulty.

It's never a good sign to get an error and your drive return 'No Additional Sense Information' as the error.

What controller is your drive attached to?

Right click the drive drop down selection box and click 'Family Tree'. Close the prompt and copy + paste that info from the log window.

Please also post the filter driver info - use the feature in the Tools menu.

You might find you get better burns at 4x with 'Force HyperTuning' enabled in the EEPROM settings.

i.e. as per my findings in this post...

Look at 'Attempt 8'.

Do you actually have a VIA controller on your motherboard or is the drive plugged into a PCI card that uses a VIA controller?

I have both But the burner is hooked up to sata on motherboard but there is a via vt6421 hooked up in pci with raid disabled.

I also have ide ports on the motherboard but i don't have adapter from sata to ide. i hear they catch fire or something. my motherboard is from biostar.
