Imgburn DL burning problem

I have a error when trying to burn to verb+r DL with imgburn as follow. First try with DL disks.

as per shamus's post above

your drive isnt happy writing to that media( it dosnt have a write strategy for the media), but by updating the firmware , the drive should then have a strategy for writing to it after the firmware update.

you already have the best media for DL , so youronly option si to alter the drive and its performance, the firmware will do this for you :thumbup:

although not directly related, suggest upgrading your O/S to service pack 2

No expert, but I've found BCDC and BCFC to be much more reliable on the DW-1650 than BCHC, and they contain a decent write strategy for MKM-001. BenQ USA pulled BCHC from their site, but it should be okay for DL burns. Might even want to flash it with BCDC or BCFC again.

 

Off the top of my head: Drive stuck in PIO mode? Another program established exclusive access to the drive? Media contains data from a failed or quickly interrupted burn? Failing IDE cable? Might just want to reboot your machine and try again. :)
