Which version of AnyDVD are you running?

The 'Medium Not Present' error being returned by the drive (but in actual fact, AnyDVD) looks like a bug to me. You should report it to them - assuming you're on the very latest version (including betas - v7.0.3.2 as of this moment).

It's probably reporting that (incorrect) error because the disc is unreadable (scratched / dirty / faulty).

Thanks for your reply.Running Anydvdhd ver 7.0.3.0.

I've been in touch with a tech guy Frank at anydvd, and he has a similar

conclusion to you.

Anydvd will scan it and say it's decripted after about 10 go's but then when trying to read it with

imgburn it fails at 17%.

Maybe trying out the new beta version of anydvd might work,do you know where i can get it from.

Thanks Neil.

Sorry, were you in contact with 'Frank' before or after reading my post?

I just want to know if they're going to fix the 'Medium Not Present' bug really :)

I believe their forum has the latest versions.

I've never seen a BD-ROM with physical errors on it so it's unlikely your problem will get 'fixed' by updating software. What you need is a new disc or a different drive with better reading capabilities.

Well i just tried the anyDVD beta and it still won't scan.

I was in touch with Frank before you.

Being as the disc will play ok on my pc and ps3 i supposed i'm

fooled into thinking the disc is ok,and that it's a software problem.

Have tried another original blu-ray and no problem with imgburn or anydvd.

Never had a blu-ray with a read fault before, but frank says it's not a protection

problem,but i can't help thinking it is.

Anyone else tried with this disc?

Thought i'd let you know that indeed the disc is faulty. When i said it played back

ok i never played it all the way through.

Anyway as soon as it gets to the Imelda May tracks it starts skipping and

freezing. So i'm gonna try and get hold of a clean copy.
