Hello. I am trying to back up the PS1 game "MegaMan Legends 2". Unfortunately, this game is giving me a lot of problems trying to back it up. Here is the log.

No matter how long I wait, I always just see "Analyzing session 1 track 2...". Waited over 15 minutes on another try and still it is just stuck on that one message. I am trying to burn to .bin/.cue because I heard this is the best format to create backups with. Would another format work and be just as good?

Also, MegaMan Legends 2 is apparently an audio cd according to Windows explorer and IMGburn. I heard that when you make a backup of an audio cd, the backup losses quality. However, what about the MASTER (aka actual physical cd used for the copying) cd? I don't want to keep trying to backup Legends 2 multiple times and end up damaging the quality of my cd. Would aborting reading the disc while it was at the "analyzing session 1 track 2..." damage the disc in any sort of way?

So far this is the ONLY Playstation game that has giving me problems when trying to back it up. All others have worked fine so far.

Bin/cue is the only supported format for non basic/ data discs so that question is null and void for ImgBurn. By all means try a other program if you want to. If they don't analyse the tracks like ImgBurn does and write out to something other than an ISO then you might be ok.

You can't damage a disc by reading it, no.
