Trouble with recording Verbatim DVD-R+ CD's windows 7

Hello there

I've just logged in to this forum, and I would like to kindly greet everyone :) I'm very much into this IMg burn, but I'm having some problem with the DVD's from verbatim. I can't record them with the img burn. The problem is the progress bar is going and it looks like something is being recorded, but in the end there is no data on the DVD and in the end there is no trace of recording on the cd (no track burned by laser). I have no problem fore example with sony cd's. I have tried to record the Verbatims with other software (CD Burner XP, integrated recording soft from windows 7) and it records the dvd with no problem. I don't like to record with this soft's I would preffer to write it with img burn, but I can't any ideas what can I do? If you need aditional information please don't hasitate to ask. I will give answer as precisely as possible.

ps. Please excuse my bad English or grammar mistakes (espacially those;))

ps2. I heaven't post a log because I don't know if it's needed in this case, and I don't know how to create the log, or where it is but if it's needed in my case also I will try to find it.

regards

Kader

One quick question, I should provide the log file after the problem occurs or can I send the log file created any time? The problem is that I updated the img burn to the latest release, and the problem was on the previous version

I don't know I heaven't tested this with the new version, my point was that does a changing of version impacts on the analysis of the log file, after the installation the log file is replaced by the new one? If so, then I will try to record the dvd and then provide the log file.

It should not have any impact.  The newest version is the most improved and therefore the easiest to use and understand.  The log is a report of what the program has directed the drive to do and what the drive reported back to the program as well as some other info.  A newer version may have additional info, but the report is the same format as it was day one of the progtram.

OK the problem with new version and my mentionned dvds looks different now. It records a little bit of data and when I'm isnerting it to verify data I get an error saying : "Layout doesn't match" or something like that. Earlier IMG Burn did not record anything. Normallly on my laptop recording the dvd takes about 15 mintues this one took 30 secons (4 GB of data). I've attached the log file but I don't see anything there...no errors. But maybe you will see something else.

aditionally there was an popup with the error so I'm attaching the print screen of the error. The buttons are in Polish, so the one on the left is Retry and the one on the RIght is cancel if this has some meaning.

The problem is on other software (I've wrote on the start Windows Default DVD Burnerr and CD Burrner XP) the DVD is written correctly. I will try to set this thing to low speed, byt since it is working on another software the problem is not with my drive or a matter of wiping the DVD
