Disc Protection Causes "Timeout on Logical Unit" Error

Hi,

I'm running version 2.5.8 (have upgraded to latest DVD drive firmware) and am trying to copy a DVD by making a disc image (for storage) and then burning it.

Here's the issue. I have some lecture DVDs produced by a company. I was told that they started using copy protection recently and sure enough, I can burn one of their older DVDs with ImgBurn with no problem. However, the newer DVDs they've put out cause a "Timeout on Logical Unit" error (see log below).

I assume there's nothing I can do about this? ImgBurn just can't get around the protection?

Thanks!

ImgBurn does not create the logical time out error, that belongs to the drive/firmware/media combo most times.  Also ImgBurn has never and will not copy media that has copy protection on it.

Also post a full log please.

And have a read:
