I normally use TY's but have run out and wanted to burn something and instead of waiting a bit to order more TY's I have gone and bought some at my local wallmart and at officemax and so far I have about 4 differant brands of media here and all of them give me the same results. I know the drive is kinda old so maybe that could be a factor with todays media. Any ideas if its just my media, Maybe my drive or some kind of settings. I have tried a few things and wasted about 1-15 blank dvds and cant even get it to burn the lead in on them. Here is a picture of the error I get and the log also. It has had some stuff removed to shorten up the log.

Thanks in advance :D

Here's one reason, Prodisc, not known for their consistance discs, you can get a fairly decent batch and then get a bad batch...... :& . Your firmware is up to date, so it might be just the crap media thats holding you back. If you can't find Tys, then Verbatim is also an excellent brand to get. :)
