Synchronise Cache Failed - Request Help

Hi Folks,

New to ImgBurn, but, have burned DVD's with Nero for some time. Just tried to burn a DVD on my new Lite-On DVD burner (using DVD Shrink + Img Burn), but, got the following error:

"Synchronise Cache Failed"

"Reason: Write Error"

This appears to have occured just as the burn was finished (100%), but, I'm **guessing** prior to fixating. Any ideas on how I may proceed ? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark

I got this error yesterday for the 1st time with the same drive, there was another bit to the error, mind has gone blank what it said, i just put it down to the media and a fluke and gave my son the disc :D

If it had of happened with the type of media your using i would have updated the firmware pronto.

Edit actually it's not the same liteon drive the numbers just looked familar, ntos I got too many writers, keep a list in txt doc.

Thanks to all who replied.

I clicked on "retry". I immediately received the completed "jingles", but, the DVD -R showed no information. I then set the write speed in ImgBurn to 4x and reburned with another TYG02 blank DVD. This time, it was successful. Not sure what's different; however, in the previous session with the error, I had the write speed in ImgBurn set to 8x (not max). Whether thats the cause; I'm not sure. Someone here with more experience will have to give me an answer.

This morning, I did update the firmware to MS0P. I then did another burn (with speed set at Max) and all was well. This is a new DVD burner, so, don't have alot of data to go on.
