lfcrule1972 Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 If you check out the media/drives section of the forum (link below) you will see that the media you are using is not recommended. For Dual Layer burns we only recommend Verbatim DVD+R DL discs as nothing else is as reliable. As for the burn speed question if your drive/firmware only support 4x burning of those discs that is all ImgBurn will be able to burn them at.
polopony Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 post a log of the burn so we can see whats up
embaned Posted December 18, 2006 Author Posted December 18, 2006 ill post a log gota burn another disc first 3rd time lucky ?

LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Just click 'Help' -> 'ImgBurn Logs'. They're now saved by default.
dontasciime Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 (edited) you cannot force 2.4 your media does not do 2.4 get some certified verbs and you will be able to burn at 2.4 as long as your firmware allows it. at your own risk, omnipatcher maybe supports your drive and maybe can be manipulated to limit speed, though you could seriously damage your drive if you just press buttons for fun.....http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=97590 Edited December 18, 2006 by dontasciime

polopony Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 " i put the write speed at 4x it never went past 4x weird... i duno whats going on " theres nothing strange about it you chose 4X write speed and it burned at 4X so why do you think it would burn at any other speed ? the drive/firmware has supported speeds they work at so if you're trying to get a speed that isn't listed then it wont burn at that speed but the one closest to it for those Dual Layer discs booktype them that is make the player think its a DVD ROM instead of a +R DL ,at the right hand corner of IMGburn theres a little icon that looks like a book click on it and select the LiteOn tab and then change the DL to DVD ROM (change for---> DL +R new setting---> DVD ROM ) it gives better compatibility with players. Your firmware has to support bitsetting BTW or it wont work
