gilead21 Posted January 20, 2007 Share Posted January 20, 2007 Hi everyone, I'm trying to burn an image on a dvd dl but it's imposible; I have been burning dvd dl before without problem, but I have wasted 15 dvd trying to burn this image. I guess, and I hope, that its a media problem. This time I used a dvd spindle verbatim (15 units...all of them wasted); before that, I was using verbatim, but the ones that come in boxes. (three units), and I didn't have any problem with these. I don't know if there is a real difference between both kinds, because it's the same brand. LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 20, 2007 Share Posted January 20, 2007 That drive doesn't support the media properly. MKM-003-00 is an 8x MID but your drive is limited to 4x. polopony Posted January 20, 2007 Share Posted January 20, 2007 from a quick Google I think your firmware is really old and updating it might solve your problems the media code you have probably is not listed in your firmware so try to update .Right click on the burner in the IB window and the last line is firmware update click it and follow the prompts .
