gilead21 Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Hi everyone, I'm trying to burn an image on a dvd dl but it's imposible; I have been burning dvd dl before without problem, but I have wasted 15 dvd trying to burn this image. I guess, and I hope, that its a media problem. This time I used a dvd spindle verbatim (15 units...all of them wasted); before that, I was using verbatim, but the ones that come in boxes. (three units), and I didn't have any problem with these. I don't know if there is a real difference between both kinds, because it's the same brand. Well, anyway I will post the log of the program, just in case any of you can help me, and give me light about this. Thank you!! I 10:30:15 ImgBurn Version 2.1.0.0 started! Grain Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 W 10:30:15 AnyDVD can interfere with ImgBurn's ability to verify accurately, please ensure it's disabled! Not a good idea having it running while burning. That may not have caused your error, but it isn't helping.
gilead21 Posted January 20, 2007 Author Posted January 20, 2007 Thank you for replying. I tried with Any dvd disabled and I had the same result ( I did that with my last dvd r). I really think that its a media problem...but I'm not sure

LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 That drive doesn't support the media properly. MKM-003-00 is an 8x MID but your drive is limited to 4x. You'd be better off buying the 2.4x rated ones with the MKM-001-00 MID instead.
polopony Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 from a quick Google I think your firmware is really old and updating it might solve your problems the media code you have probably is not listed in your firmware so try to update .Right click on the burner in the IB window and the last line is firmware update click it and follow the prompts . If this is in a lap top computer then you might have to go back to the manufacturers website for firmware
