Doodaddy Posted January 21, 2007 Share Posted January 21, 2007 When I start a burn, I get a pop up error stating "Unable to lock volume for exclusive access." I have read the FAQ, but I have found that this problem only occurs when I try to use ImgBurn to delete my RW CD either in my DVD RW drive [LiteOn] or CD RW drive [LG]. My firmwires are updated and I do not face this problem at all when I erase my RW SONY DVD. I can erase the same RW CD with the help of some other free sw without any trouble. Ok, so it does depend on the exact error message you're getting, but that's pretty much the very question the FAQ answers! Follow the FAQ and do what it says. dontasciime Posted January 23, 2007 Share Posted January 23, 2007 (edited) do you have imapi.exe listed in processes under taskmanger when you get this error, if so end it then try. tiger also right click on the cd recorder/dvdrecorder properties and recording tab and untick enable cd recording on this drive box, then try erase in imgburn.
