tunstall_bloke Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Hia I hope you guys can help me, im having real problems with the verifying stage of my back-up discs.. I have tried RiDisc, Datawrie Titanium and just Aone DL discs. Also I have changed my burner to a NEC 'Label Flash' drive today from a Philips 'Solid Burn' which i have seemed to have wasted my time doing that.. Sometimes the discs have worked but most of them have gone in the bin :-[ I am using the basic settings within Img burn..my PC is quite up to date running XP SP2 The problem always starts at 51-52%. part of the log as: I 16:37:38 ImgBurn Version 2.1.0.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Forget all the others, you need Verbatim 2.4x DVD+R DL media. They're the only ones that give consistently good results.

Thank you... Is this NEC ND7173 a good burner?, do i need to make any other changes in the settings? (boot type) etc
polopony Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 if the burner supports it booktype the discs to DVD ROM ,its the little book icon on the lower right side of the IB window its for better compatibility with standalone players
tunstall_bloke Posted January 23, 2007 Author Posted January 23, 2007 if the burner supports it booktype the discs to DVD ROM ,its the little book icon on the lower right side of the IB window its for better compatibility with standalone players In the book type options it shows the drive as 'Optiarc DVD RW AD-7173A 1-01' The drive is labelled as a NEC ND7173 18x18 'label flash'. I havent a clue if i need to change the settings and what to as its not described as a NEC drive.
dontasciime Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 (edited) you will have to make sure that either the drive auto book types it to dvd-rom or manually set it for the 360 to recognize the disc. 'Optiarc DVD RW AD-7173A 1-01' NEC and Sony venture so use nec tab in imgburn if your drive is listed in there use the eeprom setting for dl+ if you can and change to dvd-rom Edited January 23, 2007 by dontasciime
