DVD incompatible?

The Incredible Bulk

Recommended Posts

After creating an .iso from a video_ts folder, I burn the file to DVD and when I place the backup in the DVD player, it tells me it's incompatible. I thought maybe the files were bad, but when I mount them on Daemon Tools, it plays on the computer with WMP. Any thoughts on what my problem might be and is there a relatively simple solution?

ditch MPC and use either PowerDVD or Media Player Classic its free btw to view your dvds

depending on your standalone player it may nor support the media you're burning to ,if your dvd burner supports booktyping then set it to dvd rom but like Shamus says a log is really necessary to see whats going on

Now, after creating this DVD, the disc played on my computer but when I put it in my Panasonic DMR-E85H, it reads "Cannot play".

I have trouble once in a while with .iso files, but when I have to compile them into an .iso from a video_ts folder, I can't think of one time they played on my regular DVD player.

Here is another log for a different .iso with the same results. The file plays mounted on Daemon Tools and the disc plays in the computer, but not in my normal DVD player.

These look like good burns to me. Have you tried these disks in another player?

The only other DVD player I might have is probably eight or nine years old and is somewhere buried in storage. Is there any reasonable explanation for this problem? I know the Panasonic DMR-E85H can play backups because I have a stockpile of them. Unfortunately, they all came from straight isos. I'll check the Panasonic website and see if there's some kind of firmware update, but I have a feeling that won't change anthing.

like its been said the log looks fine but Panasonic had a reputation about being very fussy about what it would and would not play ,the irony is the cheapest players are the ones that play just about everything .Try to play the discs on some other player, I use the 16x mcc-r's and everything plays ok in my sony 725
