I am having problem with DL burns. Have a Sony Vaio computer with plenty of memory and ram. I am using crappy Ridata disks, but would like to use them up. Here is the latest log message. Can anyone make a suggestion? Thanks.

There realy are no answers to crappy discs, you can't make strawberry jam out of shit, so to speak.

 

Even if you successfully burn to these things, chances are you won't be able read them back.

 

Verb +R DL's are the only ones that work right, sorry, no suggestions from me.

Do I basically hear you say that this is an error because of the disk? Can I assume that the program, burner, etc., are acceptable? Thanks for the response.

Yup, these discs are terrible, other than that just make sure you are running with the latest firmware for your drive, use Verb +R DL's, and you should be fine.

As Ken said, Get Verbs +DL! The error means the drive can't read what it just wrote, usually crappy media problem. You'll be surprized the difference good media makes. :thumbup:

Seriously the verb DL's should sort you out as the lads above said. You can check out the Media/Drives section of this forum for comparitive scans of the Ritek dye DL's and the Verb ones... The quality scores and scans are poor on the Ritek DL discs...
