cornholio7 Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 this is not an error as such, its just warning you about the file size restrictions of fat32. are you using +R discs to burn to?
kharv Posted April 3, 2007 Author Posted April 3, 2007 (edited) nvm, i think its the wrong dvd type. i have to use +R dvd;s Edited April 3, 2007 by kharv
polopony Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 I 20:58:29 Total Physical Memory: 515,372 KB - Available: 31,208 KB not much memory available how much stuff do you have loaded on startup maybe you could shut some down that you're not using when you post a log post the complete log
lfcrule1972 Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 But you will need DVD+R discs as you correctly stated above Your drive only burns +R discs, so change them or the drive, new drives are not very expensive nowadays and you can get drives that burn both types for not much money at all.
lil man Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Hello, i guess i am having a similar problem where it says device not ready(medium not present). from the replies i still dont understand what to do. i am trying to copy a disk as an iso file on my harddrive. can anyone help me. lfcrule1972 Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Can you confirm you have a blank DVD?R in your drive or a DVD-Ram ? Also have you followed the Guides ? If the disc you are trying to read is copy protected (i.e shop bought) then ImgBurn can't help you as its primarily a burner altho it does read non protected discs. You will need to look elsewhere for copying protected discs. A full log of whatever you are trying to do will help as well, the one you posted has no errors or problems on it.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 lil man, The drive in your machine should support all formats of DVD media - as you can see from the log, it's listed as a 'DVD?RW/RAM' drive. You must just have some discs that the firmware doesn't support. Try looking for a firmware update or get some different discs.
