Can't get Imgburn to stop locking up

Hi,

I just installed Windows XP Pro SP2 on my new computer and also installed Imgburn 2.3.2. Each time I try to open Imgburn the program will start, but hang while looking for drives. I can not even use the Task Manager to quit Imgburn. It requires a reboot to clear the program from memory.

 

I have an LG DVD-/+ DL burner and a Sony DVD-ROM in the system. I created a debug log, as directed in the FAQs and was hoping someone could help diagnose what the problem is.

 

I love Imgburn and have used it for quite some time but never had this problem with my other machine. I even have the same LG drive in this machine that I had in my old system, which worked perfectly with Imgburn.

As you can see from the log, that's the last command sent to any of the drives - and it hasn't been processed.

 

There's nothing I can do about it I'm afraid.

 

The issue is with that Sony DVD-ROM / it's firmware / the cable it's on / the driver etc.

(Lun = Logical Unit Number - I think! That's for when there are multiple drives within one device - i.e. when it's a changer or something)

 

A Target ID of 0 would be 'Master', 1 would be 'Slave'.

 

Host Adapter ID can be any given number though so you can't look at it and say for sure it's on the primary channel or the secondary channel.

 

Also note that USB devices are listed as [0:0:0] because this SCSI ID field doesn't really apply to them - at least not under SPTI.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. You were right, what I've done temporarily was delete the SONY DVD-ROM from the Windows configuration. Once I did that, all was right in the world again.
