polopony Posted November 7, 2007 Share Posted November 7, 2007 it wont see the dvd drive in write mode because its not a DVD burner its a dvd rom (read only) and Write Mode only sees burners ,verify is a read function and IB will recognize it in verify mode . The following is from Google regarding the drive, notice TYPE, its a DVD ROM .The drives are called "combo drives " cd write /dvd read . A dvd burner comes up like this DVD±RW!. LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 7, 2007 Share Posted November 7, 2007 Just to make it clear, your Sony drive is the only burner you have (and that's only a CD burner).
