'incorrect disc' error on tv-dvd player

Hi. Great forum here. So much information it will takes weeks to read through.

I have a quick question, and I may need to include more details.

Simply, I have been trying to burn some DVDs of legally downloaded concert torrents.

(Audience recorded stuff, not comm released, from bands that allow taping of their shows)

THe DVDs created include audio_ts and video_ts folders and play on my pc,

but I get an 'incorrect disc' error message when I try to play the dvds on my tv dvd player.

Also, when trying to create dvds from files/folders which I transfer from my video camera to

the pc, again they play on pc, but on the tv dvd player, the files are listed as j-pegs and

will not play on the tv player.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Kind of late for me, I hope this is somewhat clear...will re write if necessary.

Thanks,

Robster

The downloaded torrents are probably in a colour format not supported by your DVD player (e.g. PAL disc on a NTSC player). You'll need to convert them to the colour format accepted by your player or you may want to buy a player that supports both NTSC and PAL input :)

As for the videos from your camera, you need to convert them with a program like DVD Flick and then they'll be playable on any DVD player.
