Ok after looking at the log file it indicates : Write Speed Successfully Set! - Effective: 7,056 KB/s (40x) , my properties does not indicate what the max speed for this burner is. More research needed , will check back after trying 24X ( I believe I saw this(24X) someplace in my journey about my LG/HLDS Model: GWA-4164B (Dell OEM).) Again thanks for the help, JB

Cynthia, Thanks it appears to have written the files but when I go to view them my computer hangs. Now the file I was writing is 276 MB and the cd is 700 mb so I don't understand the problem. I am going to investigate furthur and reply here. Does my log file indicate at what speed I did ? ---It say's write speed MAX , I will look in my DVD,s properties to see if I can determine what MAX is. Do you know what is meant by : Retry Failed - Reason: Illegal Mode For This Track

Ok thanks for the replies. I used the build mode as told and and everything went well until - long story short got this error in the log file Failed to Write Sectors 63360 - 63391 - Reason: Track Following Error Does this mean my dvd rw is malfuntioning ? I didn't put the whole log file in beacause I'm not sure if this is the place. Iv'e been struggling with my Roxio program not working and somone suggested this program . So it seems as if my lens may be dirty or some other physical problem with the drive. The thing is it's hardly used much , in the time I've had it (LG/HLDS Model: GWA-4164B (Dell OEM) I have not burned more than 25 cd's image + music combined. I would think them to be a little more durable than that. Even if 3-4 yrs old -- I know it was outdated by the time it was delivered.

Hi, Newbie here. I,ve looked in the guide + Faq. Did a search for .JPG When I try to write an image to disc. .jpg is not listed in the all file types. Since that is the type of image file I'm trying to copy how do I add it to that list ? Or why doesn't it recognise those files ?
