  1. no, i didnt think that was neccesary. but i'll definitly adjust those settings. i actually looked at it last night. so im taking it that my dvd drive will be in the list or automatically detected? this just seems so odd. it cant be my dvd player becuase it played a dual layer disk with a movie on its single layer... crazy! im starting to lean towards the file that im burning... except that plays on my computer!!! argghhh! i'll update tonight with your advice. thx
  2. Ok, heres an update, I tried to burn something on dual layer media but only using the first layer with an iso that's like 1.5 gb's or something. my player was able to play it... so it can read dual layer, but its not reading dual layer media that uses both layers???? thats very strange... any ideas?
  3. yup, it plays fine. i just tried it with windows media player and it looks good. i guess this could be an issue with my player? hmmm ive got a pioneer dv-c505
  4. Hello people, im trying to burn a dual layer dvd movie but am experiencing a nasty flicker when i put the dvd in my player. the flicker even continues when the dvd is stopped... very strange. ive set the layer break correctly i believe and am using some sony dual layer dvd's. i can burn single layer dvd's with no problems, as i have some nice verbatims for those but as for the dl's, the sony's are all i have for now. could this be some sort of copy protection? if so, how can i know for sure? i just want to know how to spot it, not get past it im just guessing what the problem is and have no idea. also, to describe what the problem looks like more... you can see the movie in the background, but theres just constant horizontal lines going up/down the screen. any help would be greatly appreciated. thx.
