  1. I just found it odd that it will still read/play CDs. Also it always worked fine with Nero, but the first time I tried to use ImgBurn it failed. Just seemed too much of a coincidence, especially as it recognised the DVD-R up to the point of burning (displayed disc information, calculated space), but now won't recognise a DVD at all.
  2. I have tried this but, as I originally posted, the drive will no longer recognise ANY DVD - not even a regular pre-recorded one. It "thinks" it's a CD drive now, and will only recognise CDs. If I put a blank DVD in the system just beeps a few times then ImgBurn reports "Device Not Ready (Medium Not Present)". I have tried several blank DVD-Rs (both Datasafe, which has always worked before, and Datawrite) and have also tried store-bought DVD movies that play in other machines.
  3. Ok - here it is: ; //****************************************\\ ; ImgBurn Version 2.4.1.0 - Log ; Sunday, 29 June 2008, 14:57:45 ; \\****************************************// ; ; I 14:41:05 ImgBurn Version 2.4.1.0 started! I 14:41:05 Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 2) I 14:41:05 Total Physical Memory: 785,760 KB - Available: 343,216 KB I 14:41:05 Initialising SPTI... I 14:41:05 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 14:41:05 Found 1 DVD
  4. I tried to write a few folders of photos to a DVD-R. All went well with selecting the folders, adding to image and calculating space. But when I went to burn, the program stuck on "writing lead-in" then came up with an "invalid address" error. Since then, my DVD-R/RW drive is listed as a CD-R drive and refuses to recognise any DVD. I have spent hours (literally) trying to resolve this issue, without success This DVD drive has never had problems before. Does anyone have any idea what has caused this issue and what I can do to resolve it??
  5. Thanks (loved DVDDecrypter BTW!) Any idea when the next version will be available?
  6. I downloaded ImgBurn after reading good reports that it could backup CDs and DVDs, but although it reads my CD and lists the tracks, it won't write an image. Am I missing something here? I don't want to resort to installing Nero as it's way over the top for the simple job of making backups to play in the car!
