hi Folks

Using Dvd Flick after it has processed everything and when it then used to just to onto Img Burn and make a dvd

I now get an error message saying

There doesen't appear to be enough space on the disc to burn this image.

it then asks if I want to continue Yes Or No and then if I hit Yes it gives another whole technical message

I uninstalled both Dvd Flick and Img Burn and re installed them both

I have tried a test of a 1 minute video clip and have a full unused dvd and it says not enough space hmmm? pls can anyone help me

with this

Are you using CD or DVD? Do you have more than one DVD burner? Post the log. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=14632

Make sure you set the Target size to DVD (4,3 GB) in DVD Flick/Project settings/General

You are using the old version of ImgBurn that comes with DVDFlick.

Copy and replace imgburn.exe from Program Files\DVD Flick\imgburn with the new version from Program Files\ImgBurn. Download and install the current version if you didn't already.

Update the firmware for your burner to latest 1.04, currenly you are using 1.01 http://www.firmwarehq.com/Optiarc/AD-7240S/files.html

OK thanks my friend. I will do that but I am just thinking how can that be because yesterday I uninstalled IMG burn and went to the official IMG burn site and downloaded what I thought was the latest version.

My Dvd FLick is doing a process now so I dont want to interrupt,(I am writing from my laptop, and the process is happening on my desktop), so when that finishes I will go to the link you have given me. Do you want me to send you the log again, after it burns the movie it is processing?

thanks

George

Ok me again, I have just installed the firmware for my dvd burner to 1.04 so thanks so much for that.

I have 2 dvd burners on my desktop PC and am now running a process with DVD Flick but have set it to burn on the E Drive which is the other burner, to see if it burns successfully, if you dont mind I can send you the log of that one to see if it also needs upgrading to the latest Firmware.

Thank you

George

You need to copy the new version of ImgBurn's .exe files to this location (that currently contains the outdated version).

C:\Program Files\DVD Flick\imgburn

Thank you Cynthia

Just because I am still learning myself about technical stuff, how exactly do I do that, because when I downloaded the latest IMG burn I did not click SAVE when it asked me what I wanted to do I just clicked on RUN

Would I have to uninstall IMG burn now and then reinstall from www.imgburn.com and then it would put the latest one into Program Files automatically?

or is there another way?

Thanks

George

Copy these two files from

C:\Program Files\ImgBurn

ImgBurn.exe

ImgBurnPreview.exe

to

C:\Program Files\DVD Flick\imgburn

and then DVD Flick will use the latest version when you burn from DVD Flick.

There doesen't appear to be enough space on the disc to burn this image.

If you want the output from DVD Flick to fit a single layer disc - make sure that the "Project Settings" -> General -> Target Size is set to DVD (4.3GB) in DVD Flick.

I did exactly that I copy and pasted as you said and it asked if I wanted to replace them and of course I said yes and so now they will be updated, yes?

and target size is set to 4.3GB in Dvd flick

Much appreciated

Hope you managed to replace the .exe in the end.

Here is the latest firmware for your NEC drive 1.0C, for now you have 1.0A installed http://www.firmwarehq.com/NEC/ND-1300A/files.html

Thanks but this one has me puzzled. I downloaded it at the link you gave me and then once it was downloaded it is a .bin file I think and my VLC player wants to play it and it says its 1.30min in length. It is not opening like the link you sent me for the Optiarc burner. Can you help out here pls?

thanks
