actually, it's funny that you mention that, because i didn't do that the first time. however, i followed the specific directions in your link, and got the same results. the dvd player recognizes it as a CD, but won't play it-instead it asks me to remove the disc. it doesn't even say disc read error, it explicitly asks me to remove the disc. oh well. thanks for your time, i've got to find a converter.

ugh, thanks. i didn't know if .bin/.cue files could be used in the whole "create .iso from image file" things or not, i guess i just assumed that kvcd's were the same as any other image file. my dvd player, while being reliable, is also old. i've already tried it, and it won't play. back to the drawing board, i guess!

hey there, i have a quick question. i've checked guide, faq, and seach, and couldn't find any help. if i'm blind, please redirect me. i've downloaded some kvcd files that, unfortunately, won't play on my dvd player. is there a way to use imgburn to convert the .bin and .cue files to .iso? i've tried it once already, and when i take the .iso file that i've saved as "test", and mount it in Daemon to view it, it just gives me a window showing the .bin and .cue files. am i doing something wrong, or leaving a step out? i would really like to avoid putting the kvcd files through something like DVD Flick, because i would lose all of that awesome compression... not to mention the fact that it takes close to 2 hours for a conversion/burning. any and all help will be greatly appreciated, and i will answer any questions you might have to facilitate a solution.

just to update the forum, i've found a temporary solution... by using DVD Flick the whole way through and reducing the amount of .avi files to 5 instead of 10, the disc does work. the only change to imgburn that dvdflick made was to burn at 2x. also, by using dvdflick the whole way through, i did not encounter the "Program Memory Area Update Failure" error. i'm going to tinker with it and find the best scenario given these new developments, and update the forum accordingly. long story short, success!

do you have a suggestion for size? i have had a lot of successful burns with sizes larger than this. also, i have made another attempt since then; this time, rather than taking the DVD Flick-built .iso and burning using imgburn, i used imgburn to build the .iso file from the video_ts file that dvdflick made... i know dvdflick uses imgburn to do it, i thought i'd try anyway. same result- menu not there, plays track on laptop but will not load in the standalone. this time i didn't even get a black screen, the disc wouldn't even read... not even a disc error, just endless spinning and clicking. this has been the standalone response for the past 5 or so attempts. just thought i'd add this too: i've been using 10 .avi files about 20 min. in legth to build the .iso through dvdflick.

hey there, i'm having a problem (i think) with imgburn... i'm pretty new to all of this so please forgive the naive noob. i am trying to make discs of a certain series of video files that i have. i go through the motions of editing the titles and building the .iso in DVD Flick. then, i seperately use imgburn to write the .iso to a disc. i know dvd flick can do this for me, but i prefer to keep my programs as seperate as possible while i'm still learning. anyways, the first dozen times i used this method for other projects, it worked just fine. with this particular series, however, it is not working out well. the first disk worked perfectly on both my laptop and my dvd player. the second disk worked on the laptop only, and that is where i'm stuck. the only difference i could find at all is that the second disk was a mix of .mpg and .avi files, whereas the first was all .avi. so, i went through and converted/compressed all of the mpg's to .avi's, and tried again. no dice. i am using sony dvd+r discs, on a typical walmart compaq laptop (i don't know how to give you/find drive specs). as i've said, everything has been working perfectly up until this point, and i can't find what the difference is. here is the log from my last attempt: I 18:05:13 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started!
