  1. mmalves: That is a great program! Thanks! It appears that USB 2 is supported, See attached screen shot.
  2. As to Lightning UK: Not sure why any of my drives would show up SCSI since I have nothing SCSI -- very strange indeed. Performed the Discovery/Test burn and here is log: I 11:30:29 ImgBurn Version 2.5.1.0 started! 3. To answer mmalves: the source files are located on an external HD/USB2 Is this what is causing the verifying problem?
  4. The burn DVD does work (didn't watch entire show yet)in DVD player, but as I indicted above could not perform "Verify" process, not sure why this is (?) Tried to paste in burn log but received a message that it caused this post to be too long so I will attach a copy of the log. ImgBurn-4-2-2010Shield.log
  5. Thank you for merging thread back to originally intended topic! Since I have the latest version installed and "The [DMA]fix is to uninstall the controller entry and reboot - both of which you've already done as per my earlier instructions." Therefore, I am burning another DVD of the same show to see if today there is a better burn. So far I see lots of "exclamation symbols" during the verify process. Once process is completed will try and play disc and submit burn log to this thread. Again, thank you all for being here to lend your assistance!
  6. You ask "Can I just ask, does it really matter if you don't have that tab?" My fault I apologize for creating this secondary thread, I had started a new topic yesterday concerning my newly burned DVD did not play and I sent a copy of the burn log. mmalves instructed me to update to the latest version, which I did and "Read the 2nd post from the FAQ thread (link at the top of this page) to solve your DMA problem, then try burning again." Then when I went to relpy to that post as to what happened, I , also being a newbie to forms, hit start a new topic button when I wanted to just add reply. My confusion and I apologize. I have been trying to resolve the DMA problem as instructed and still do not know if I am using PIO or DMA when I burn. I will now access the link above that you provided and go from there.
  7. Using the link that "mmalves" provided I located an INF update utility specific for 845 chip-set desktop boards. Did not do the trick, still unable to see or set/change of the PIO or DMA. This is really strange.
  8. OK, Installed INF 800 series update utility --- didn't do the trick. Uninstalled Intel®82801BA Ultra ATA Controller from the Device Manager and rebooted. Wow, had to reinstall the "IdeChnDr.sys" and "IPrtCnst.dll" files and rebooted. Checked my BIOS and I am running the latest version P15 for 845WN board. No place in BIOS to set PIO or DMA. After reboot, Went into Device Manager located Main, Primary & Secondary IDE Channels, looked at property on each, found only three tabs (General/Driver/Resources) none indicate either PIO or DMA. Really at a lost now.
  9. I tried installing the INF Update Utility but it would not install, gave me this message: "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software. Setup will now exit!" Wow, Am I having one of "those" day or what! I really appreciate all the time and effort you have been providing me with this issue. Not sure what to do at this point(?)
  10. Not sure what you mean by "chipset": Intel Pentium 4 on a Intel D845WN board (?) I do go to Device Manger and property for Intel®82801BA Ultra ATA Controller and there where same three tabs as Prim/Sec. and no PIO or DMA indication.
  11. Using W2K/SP4: Went into Device Manager located Primary & Secondary IDE Channels, looked at property on each, found only three tabs (General/Driver/Resources) none indicate either PIO or DMA. So I went to the DVD/CD drive under the Device Manager, went to property and found four tabs (General/Properties/Advanced Settings/Driver) no listing as to either PIO or DMA settings. What now? Where else on my system could I find this setting?
  12. New to ImgBurn but I did read topic on how to burn a single layer DVD disc. I used AnyDVD in background and DVD Decrypter to rip a TV show I had recorded. The DVD recorder did finalize disc and created a simple play menu. I can watch the ripped tv show on my hard drive. When I load a ImgBurn copy of this show back on my recorder the recorder loads the disc but when I hit play nothing happens? I looked at the log and it appears to me that the show was written without any errors but the verify processes has errors (see log below)and I used Verbatim DVD-R/16X. Not sure if it is me not setting the build session up incorrectly or its the DVD burner(Sony DVD RW-DRU 840A)? Thank you for taking the time on my post! I 09:00:22 ImgBurn Version 2.4.1.0 started!
