  1. Hello, I have gotten wonderful help here before and am hoping for some more. I am trying to burn a dvd, and am frustratingly uneducated. My error is I/O Error! Device [0:0:0] HP CDDVDW SU-208FB HH00 (F:) (RAID) SCSI status: 0x02 Interpretation: Check Condition CBD: 2A 00 00 00 00 40 00 00 20 00 Interpretation: Write (10) - Sector: 64 - 95 Sense Area: 71 00 03 00 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 00 73 04 00 00 00 00 SK Interpretation: Medium Error ASC/ASCQ Interpretation: Program Memory Area Update Failure I have found a thread with a similar error with (RAID) being the issue and a discussion of changing ports. I have vague experience with ports from a tech support job but not much. Is anyone able to guide me or understand what the error is telling me? I would greatly appreciate your knowledge lol

(RAID)? I just want to burn a dvd!!

I think it's probably my drive. A few years ago I killed my hard drive. I was told that from moving my lap top around so much while it is on, I killed the hard disk. I sent it to best buy's geek squad and paid almost $600CAN for a new hardrive (I'm sentimental to this laptop and didn't want a new one). Since I got it back from best buy, my camera doesn't work nor my dvd drive. I can't even watch DVDs on it anymore. I was able to factory reset the lap top once and get all of these features back except the camera. The DVDs I was able to burn still work. So a drive issue just makes sense with everything that's gone on. My hope was to get all of the downloaded TV Shows and Movies burned into discs and do another reset but now I need a new plan, possibly one with many USB sticks lmao. Thank you so much for the help!!!

(RAID)? I just want to burn a dvd!!

Hello again. I made the switch to the Taiyo Yuden DVD-R's. I tried to burn a dvd and am getting similar issues. The first issue I had stated "Device not ready, incompatible medium installed". I read that sometimes simply opening the disk tray and closing it again is a solution so I tried that. As it was beginning to start, I received a pop up window stating that I "do not have sufficient rights to perform this action". I am not sure what that means. The errors I am now getting are: and the log report is: I 14:29:09 ImgBurn Version 2.5.8.0 started! (RAID)? I just want to burn a dvd!!

I would bet money, enough for new disk hahaha, that you are right. My logs show me quite a bit of history. When I look at a successful log record from burning a dvd it looks relatively the same. The only big difference i can recognize is that when it tried to burn and failed, either I or the program chose to try again, and it worked. Hence the luck. Thank you very much!! Ill show the old log too if its of any interest: ; //****************************************\\ ; ImgBurn Version 2.5.8.0 - Log ; Monday, 01 June 2020, 11:54:59 ; \\****************************************// ; ; I 11:42:57 ImgBurn Version 2.5.8.0 started! (RAID)? I just want to burn a dvd!!

Wild! Thank you so much. I had kind of learned this in the passed, but second guessed it. I got through half the stack of DVDs with no burning problems and was told I was lucky hahaha. I was hoping I was clicking a wrong setting or there was some step I was forgetting. Thank you again for the knowledge. Now to find a good deal on proper discs hopefully

img burn program memory update failure

Thank you so much! I was so confused, I thought I was doing everything right and had the right disks. Im glad it is potentially something that simple. I was able to get a few of these disks to write using a program called dvdflick but that seemed to shit the bed too or i didnt know how to use it properly and gave up on it. Thank you again!!
