  1. Hi I am having a problem playing the discs I burned in my stand alone dvd player. I used imgburn followed the instructions in the guide got it to burn from iso into video and audio ts folders automatically program converted it but when i put it in the dvd player it says it cant play dvd. I named the disced in the udf and file name lets say house for example is what i named it in the udf and file name boxes. Im i missing a step I used to be able to get them to play with dvd decypter but its been a long time since i backed up a movie I think im just overlooking a step but I cant figure it out as I followed the guide Completly. Thanks In Advance J.T.

    Still having trouble

Ok so I still cant get imgburn to burn a successful disc to play on my stand alone here is the log file and this is what i did i after the burn would not play. I explored the dvd took the video _ts files and put them on my harddrive. Maybe one of you guys or girls knows a program where i can extract the iso files to video_ts and audio _ts folders staight on to the harddrive without burning and then copying them back to the harddrive. Then I used anthoer program with directions to burn the video_ts files and the disc plays perfect on my stand alone. Any help would be Great I would love to just use imgburn as it seems like a great program only if i can overcome this one problem. Still having trouble

Ok Guys I thank You for all the help. I figured out what the problem was and thought I would share it with you all. Seems that 1 of the discs I brought was pal and cannot play on my dvd player. The backup I made. now Im working on finding out if there is a tool out there to let me convert pal to ntsc. weird how 1 of the discs comes in pal and the rest of the seasons are ntsc weird.

    Still having trouble

Nothing wrong with the sony discs when i burn with nero they come out just fine. as far as the xbox 360 I only use verbatim discs. I would of got verbatim dvds to test but having some money trouble and i have the sonys and I tested it with nero using this method http://www.dvd-guides.com/content/view/40/59/ if they were the discs why does this method work? I was also asking if there is a program where I can extract the iso file to a video_ts folder? Is it still possible the program just doesnt like the discs? even though when I burn with nero they work just fine in my stand alone. Thanks Just trying to understand Thank You J.T

    Burning speed

I was told to burn at nothing but 2.4x so i changed the option in imgburn to 2.4x. Problem or not so much of a problem I picked up 8x verbatim dl +r discs Which Works Great. now when I burned my backup it burned at 3.8x not the 2.4x i set it for ive had no problem with the backup but this is one game just dont want to have problems in the future with other backups. It nice that it backsup in 25 minutes compared to 45 minutes it was set for 2.4x but imgburn burnt it at 3.8x just wondering why that would be. Thanks In Advance J.T.

Burning a DVD for play in a stand alone

i was burning movies at 16 x so if i switch to 8x it would be better. i have 2 ide drives in my computer I can transfer my files from the 2 ide drives to the external drive and extract my images to the ide drives would this be a better solution or the problem will be the same? I am also waiting on my wd 650 gig firewall drive to come if this is a better option. i have 4 500 gig external on usb 2.0 the 650 im going to use firewire and the ide drives are 80 and 37 gig. What is the best solution I dont mind burning at slower speeds if that is the best option. Thank You J.T.
