LF_ Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Hi, I'm using ImgBurner in build mode & file output, passing IBB file with file names in it. I expected that ImgBurner is going to add files to ISO image in the same order as they are in IBB file. Apparently, in the iso image my files are in alphabetical order. Is there any way to fix this? What do I have to do to insure that a file I want is at the beginning of iso. Also, I could not find a way to make a proper directory structure, e.g. I have c:\files\*.html c:\files\data\*.jpg what I would like to see in iso root directory *.html \Data\*.jpg Tnx, LF_
LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 You can't order the data, nor can you use wildcards.
LF_ Posted July 21, 2007 Author Posted July 21, 2007 Thanks a lot for your fast reply! No plans to add an option in the future version to follow files order in IBB? For some applications it very important About wildcards, let's assume I have c:\files\1.html c:\files\data\1.jpg if I use /PRESERVEFULLPATHNAMES YES in ISO I'm going to have files\1.html files\data\1.jpg What I want to have in ISO 1.html \data\1.jpg Thanks a lot for your help and for excelent program as well!
LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 ImgBurn's build mode wasn't really designed to flexible in what it burns, it's meant for burning an existing folder structure *as-is*. For backing up individual files here, there and everywhere, you should use a more complete package.
LF_ Posted July 22, 2007 Author Posted July 22, 2007 I don't want to argue, but I think ImgBurn is VERY close to what I want, I guess I should go to Suggestions section and open a topic When I pass IBB file - it has a list of files I want to have in ISO and I pass the files in the order I want to see them in ISO - so the only problem is that ImgBurn does not burn the files the way they are in IBB, it sorts them by name
