spoonlegger
I am a newbie to this program, but I have been using it for a few months now. It used to work just fine, but something is messing up now. The last 2 discs I have burned end in an error. The discs will play, but it messes up and will not skip scenes. Help! I love this program. I use it along with DVD decrypter, Menushrink, and DVD Shrink 3.2... I am just using it to backup home dvds I own. (I am a school teacher, so I like to carry copies of DVDs to school to show that way if they are stolen or messed up I don't have to buy a new one). I also just like to backup my own DVDs, just in case. Here is the log of the last 2 that messed up. I 20:03:46 ImgBurn Version 2.4.1.0 started! I 20:03:46 Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition (6.0, Build 6000) I 20:03:46 Total Physical Memory: 2,086,720 KB - Available: 946,332 KB I 20:03:46 Initialising SPTI... I 20:03:46 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 20:03:46 Found 1 DVD

Cynthia
Hi and welcome to the forum, spoonlegger! Looks as your burner and the media don't really like each other. If your computer is a Sony Vaio laptop, there is a later firmware for that burner, that might make them like each other. http://support.vaio.sony.co.uk/downloads/u...N-CR&m=2851 If you update the firmware: No disc in the writer Tray closed All other programs closed

Cynthia
Could try to burn at 4x to see if that works better or get a brand of discs that the writer likes better.
spoonlegger
I have a feeling it may be the discs. I will try the 4x and see if that helps... Thank you so much for your help so far!!!!!
