ISO image files

Up until a few days ago I had no problems creating ISO image files from disks such as Paragon Drive Backup Installation and Drive Backup Recovery CD's.

Now, for reasons unknown, when attempting this operation on the aforementioned CD's I get the following error message:

 

"Unable to replace or create file:

 

C:\PARAGON.BIN

 

Reason: a required privilege is not held by the client"

 

(note BIN extension above. Unable to get as far as changing file type to ISO)

 

I tried this operation using Roxio Creator Basic (came with computer) without any problems.

 

Any ideas folks?

My first guess would be that you need to have administrative privilege to the system...but I could be wrong.

Indeed, you can't write to the root of C:\ when you're logged in (and running) as a 'normal' user.
