hey there that link goes to another page then using the link there it takes me to nothing. im not sure what im missing here, sorry........ Just redownload the firmware in the link in post 2. Take the disc out of the drive. Run the firmware patch and reboot. And, yes, the drive is a Philips-LiteOn SATA drive.

Hey there ummm I downloaded thet firmware and it didnt work and now I have no dvd drive, please get it back for me i need reel help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please There might be a later firmware for that burner if it's in a HP computer. Look at the last post in this thread http://www.cdr-zone.com/forum/about9559.html I guess it's a Philips rebadged Lite-On drive.

Hey there I am about to get some new dvd"s should I get + or -? thank you for the link i went there and they had another link to upgrade my firmware but there was nothing there, so I am unfortunately at a loss again. please help it would be greatly appreciated! I'm not sure of the quality of this drive. I see many threads over the web littered with problems. Your TYG02 media are just fine. Is there another drive you can try?
