Solved! Started with WinImage, but remembered I had some very old HDDs with DOS 6.22 on them. Tried a few before I found one that was not dead. Simply copied the Ghost files, etc. to that hdd, then made an image of the file. Used standard settings, and it worked (as hdd). The image was over 2 GB, so I'll repartition it smaller after I edit the files, and make a more reasonable size image. It's great to be able to easily make changes to the Ghost batch files (last one was in 2001). Many thanks for your help. Cheers Jim

Thanks for the help. Sorry, I didn't make myself clear enough. I could already do this - works fine. However, the boot image contains files that were on the original diskette. (It boots Win98, loads CD and mouse drivers, then the autoexec file runs Ghost.) It is these files in the boot image (whick I used to change on the floppy disk) that I would like to change (just a little to reflect the change of backup media from CD to DVD). I tried (in XP SP2) making a virtual floppy disk, formatting it, then using this to make the disk image, but the built CD didn't work (using the custom Options IS09960 + Joliet ... Sectors to load 4). Your excellent program is doing it's job very well. I just kinda hoped you had some thoughts on how to add what I want to the image. Thanks Jim

In the olden days, before I found imgBurn I edited the files on a diskette, made an image, then made the CD/DVD. I no longer have access to a diskette drive. I can burn a bootable CD/DVD with imgDrive, using my old image file. What I can't do is make an image file with new edited files on it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? TIA Jim
