  1. I did some research on the internet and found a website called digitalfaq.com and view the video media guides advice on which blank media to purchase. It was very well written and recommends 1st and 2nd class media of which Verbatim qualifies. It just happened that I had some at home so used my lightscribe dvd+r's and that solved my problem. After the copying was complete it automatically played on my computer and video and sound seem to be fine. I was using memorex because someone told me they were good but I've since changed my mind. Choose Pioneer, Panasonic, Sony or Verbatim as these are the best recommended DVD's.
  2. I am new to this burning process and am a novice. I got the exact same error message as in this posting. The burning process seemed to work the disk drawer popped open and I took the disk out. It had data on it so I put it in my Toshiba DVD player and it recognized it as a dvdvideo so I played it but the video halts both video and sound. The digital picture breaks up. The program gave me the exact same error message as is in this posting. I just bought my HP laptop a month ago so am confused because the dvd burner shouldn't be bad and as far as cleaning it how would I do that? How can I know if my dvd burner does have a problem? I have been copying some dvd's generally without a problem but sometimes they have not worked and I thought it was the program I am using DVDcloner and DVD shrink. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
