I just purchased a new drive, and everything went great on the first go around. After I use up the other 5 cheap discs, I will switch to Verbatim though. Again thanks for you time and suggestions. I'm now a happy camper.

Thanks a bunch to you both for your input. A buddy of mine just gave me a few of his discs to tide me over for a while... I use Verbatim's for my CD's so I'll probably go with those. And yeah, the drive that I have has been very touchy from the get go, and it's always been like rolling the dice. I'll invest in a new one this weekend. Again, thanks for your input.
