is that how it is? well i bought it 2006, my S/N said it was made in taiwan in 2006 but anyways thanks for your help your saying i might as well buy a new dvd-multiburner?

http://b.imagehost.org/view/0859/media_notpresent.jpg heres also mine, after burning 3 dvds succesfully (those dvds are movie backups all playing ok without any errors and also been tested on a dvd player) the fourth dvd i was going to burn but ended up with these error; i have 2 optical drives a it shows on the logs. One i use to burn , and one i just use for movies/reading installers edit: btw, it can detect cds of any type. and burn cds as well but not dvds anymore. i also tried uninstall/reinstall imgburn , and my other burning programs (DVDfab and alcohol 120% no vail) -if any help found thank you, if no solution for this then thats sad -
