  1. Thanks Cynthia for letting me know. Too bad, I like ImgBurn otherwise, but I won't be using it as much. Do you know if they are planning to add multi sessions someday?
  2. I've burnt some .avi files to a DVD disk. I used "Write Files/Folders to Disk". The files are there, they are playable. They only use up less than half of the space available on the DVD (4.3 GB). Now I want to add some more .avi files to this DVD, but when I try to do this the main action icon(s) remain grayed out, and there is a little note at the bottom of the window "disk not empty". The information tab shows lots of free space, about 3.3 gb. I'm in device output mode. Looking under the File menu, the Write command is also grayed out. I can't get past this point. I'm new to ImgBurn so I don't know if it even allows appending additional data files to a disk. I haven't found any mention of this in the guides. I tried a different burning software, DeepBurnerPro, and it also shows the 5 .avi files on the disk (5 x 350mb aprox size) but tells me there is not enough space on the media. So I'm confused at this point, and don't know that much about burning DVDs anyway. Can someone set me straight... John
  3. Normally I've taken .avi files (movies, tv shows, soccer games) and using Nero or DeepBurner, I've burnt them to a data disk (DVD or CD). Then when I want to play one I just find the file using VLC and play it. I've been trying to do this with ImgBurn 2.4.2.0 and haven't been able to get it to work (the WRITE choice is grayed out). I'm trying the device output rather than an image file output, and that may be the problem. I also realize I don't know the difference. Can someone help me with this, especially by explaining the difference in playing the .avi file on a data disk as compared to playing the .avi file when it's an image on a disk. There's something basic here that I don't understand and that may be why I'm having trouble getting ImgBurn to work. What I tried was "Write Files/Folders to Disk", and I added 5 .avi files to the window. Auto calculate shows plenty of space of the DVD+R disk. And it's set to Device Output. But the WRITE choice (File menu) is grayed out, and so is the Folder to Disk icon. There must be a step I'm missing here (if this is even possible), but I don't know what it is and I can't find it in the guides. Any suggestions? John
