thanks for the reply, they are made in India unfortunately, bought them from amazon so couldn't see before i bought them. Computer is prob about 5 years old so yeah, getting on a bit. Worth trying my laptop? Thats about 2 years old, but are those drives as good? How would i clean the drive? Thanks again, much appreciated
