If those DVD+RW's don't work properly in your drive, don't use them.
Try some Verbatim DVD-RW's instead.
Those RW have always worked, I've used hundreds (OK alot)of them.

I am at a lost here. I wrote several AVI files to this RW DVD yesterday, verified that the disc worked in the DVD player, then burned a DVD R. This morning I loaded a VIDEO_TS folder started burn 15 minutes later Error. Checked green bar said 100% with 900k free, tried again, same results. Thought I got smart put folder in DVDShrink, it was about 2% over, so compressed it to 4462 I think it said. Just a little under normal 4464? Tried burn again, @@@@ same result. Oh, the disc at the end is always shown as needs erasing. When inserted the system shows it as blank.
3 Logs attached, OK only one with this post will follow up if you want the others. (I couldn't grasp multi up readily)

Long story, but I have 7.04 gig Stargate.Atlantis.S01E01+E02.HDTV.720p-Absinth.ts container to replace the original off air recording that won't play no more. I have the rest stored as Xvid avi. I've done confused myself to the point of frustration and know the anser is somewhere and just missed it.
How do I get this to a 4.7g dvd playable using "X" to convert and then dvd shrink 3.2 to shrink then Xvid to compress to avi?
Better yet make an Xvid avi directly from the .ts container for free.

Drop it in ImgBurn's window and you might be able to burn it if it's supported. And no, there's no way you could get infected through ImgBurn: it just dosn't open the files in the way needed for infection.
Phew, thats good to know.

It worked, except for one thing. The FTP site had mydiscimage.ashdisc as a 2 hour lecture on Aramaic and it runs as a very wide screen "City of Angels" in English, well so far the first scene. At least I learned something.

I searched fro ashdisc file type in the forums, and not finding it. I'm too paranoid to just drop it into the file window of imgburn, the way my luck works it would be worm instead of Ashampoo file.
Anyone got a test for it, as AVG doesn't flag it. Damn thing could just be an 4.2G ISO for all I'd know.

Are you English? If so, talk/write in it please.
By default the program will appended to the log file (not overwrite it) so just look at the top section of it.
I'm not English I'm Paiute, had a stroke so fingers write fast think slow, sometimes don't edit what I write as well as should.
Anyway didn't see where verifry failed in log so assume was overwrit.

Well, ya shot me.....
I have a bazzillion mp3 files and wanna put them on a dvd-rom so's I can play them in a play anything dvd player. So I gathered them up in a folder about 4.4 gigs in size, opened the folder and copy pasted each o'dem into imgburn, hit burn and whap slap it burned apparently without glitch.... However verifry started wid errors about 1/3 into the burned disk. Extracted disk and looking at burned side shows 1/3 burn track and remaining 2/3 looks pristine.
Whar do'd I do'd it wrong, dudes?
putting them in seven folders rote dem to a disk but don't play well on player stops at end of each folder, but hey no log no answer.
Never mind I guess ya'll leave me to finger it out for myself or no do it.

Track 1 is smaller on the disc than it is in the image file.

Well the discs where all bought at the same time in packages of 10 but that don't mean they are same lot. I cleaned heads between run 2 and 3. Moved to a different computer same brand drive same Maxell disc imgburn 2500 same result. Humm... Dug through lots of discs found a Memorex RW.
Burn success. I be darned, wish I could get Verbatim RW here in the outback of Nevada, though this is the first time I've had compatibility problems.
I've made a few DVDr coasters.
Thanks,
T
