ah yes at least this i have understood by myself the crucial question, glad you asked it are you implying the program is poorly developed for the blu ray burning? finally i would understand if i can decide if it is the disks failure or the drive, if someone could help me to decide to trash the disks, the drive or both or the program, this is the less costly decision i realize maybe i am asking something related only by side to imgburn, but until now i have trusted that program to record my data, and i have hoped this forum had knowledgeable people i am not an expert but i have seen imgburn offers many options i usually do not see in other burning program so i thought i could rely on some extended experience by developers and users it is nice to see the answers i get are like "yeah, the log says you received an error burning" "you log reveals there was an error" "if it happened this means it happened, what you pretend" thanks i do not want make you lose anymore time and me too

no one answers or ideas? i would understand what is the problem

hi today a new error (after the problem of disk writing at 1x instead of 2x but only when it wants, i have posted few days ago) disk stopped exactly at 50%, i guess i have unluckily bought some bad disks, because even this disk was writing at 1x help anyone? thx for your reply so what could be the cause? bad blu ray disk? (how do i check it?) damaged sata cable? (maybe tomorrow morning i go buy another) recorder towards physical failure? and what is that 40 mb buffer reported in the log, and how (if) can i increase it? checked hard disks with sandra and they are ok, no virus and so on... thx again

hi it is some time i have the blu ray recorder lg ggw h20l i have the following problem, this is happening only recently sometimes imgburn refuses to go faster than 1x to record 50 gb verbatim disks it is not always, only sometimes, and obviously i always specify write at 2x speed, so it is not the pio mode problem the disks are written ok, as far as i have checked but it took too much time to write them and after verify them the log reports the correct media and the correct speeds to write them to, and it writes "....recording speed at 2x..." but it is not true: I 23:37:33 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started! solved my apologies i should have read the faq :-) it seems my drive decided it did not like anymore good transfer mode and gone to pio mode deleted controller and reinstalled, it it ok now thanks for attention suggestion: this nice log is very big, it is not possible to add the transfer mode of the selected drive? imgburn can read it from the hardware? so next time i fall down in it and i have forgot the cause (me or another person :-)) ... this will be immediate to understand

hello tonight i have found a problem recording a blu ray disc using lg ggw-h20l unit on win xp sp3 i am using imgburn last version until now, i was able to record blu ray media at 2x, with the 2 buffer indicators at 100% steadily tonight it seems i can not go above 1.3x, and the device buffer indicator fluctuating between 30% and 50%, while the buffer indicator remains at 100% even the rewritable speed for blu ray is slowed, and dvd also are slower, in both reading and writing i have benchmarked every component of my pc (cpu, hard disks and ram) and they are all at same level as usual, so i can not find any bottleneck no hardware changes, no software changes, no virus and so on, every hdd defragmented, same media brand etc this can be a faulty drive? of there can be another cause? someone could suggest me some test or some software for understanding it? it seems it works well, apart the speed of anything it does is half the normal... the sole component i have not checked is the power supply, i do not know any program than could check it, someone knows if it is possible the unit is slower because it is receiving insufficient current or voltage? i do not think it is related strictly to imgburn, but it seems it is the sole program with 2 buffer indicators (at least i know), maybe someone knowing the difference could understand what is happening, what is the cause of device buffer unable to fill and buffer normal at 100% and why all of sudden thank you for attention
