thanks for the fast answer! i have to format the discs every time because without formating the disc can`t be burnt. I know that sounds strange but imgburn cannot write over the old files...when i try to erase the discs (quick) there happens nothing and if i try full erase i have no success, too. The discs are in perfect conditions so that should not be the problem... now i tried it again: i am not able to burn over old files... here are the drivers: Upper Device Filter: [None Found] Upper Class Filter: GEARAspiWDM Device: CD/DVD-ROM Device Lower Class Filter: ElbyDelay Lower Class Filter: AnyDVD Lower Class Filter: PxHlpa64 Lower Device Filter: [None Found] Filter Name: GEARAspiWDM File Name: File Version: File Description: Product Name: Product Version: Company Name: Copyright: Filter Name: ElbyDelay File Name: C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\ElbyDelay.sys File Version: 5, 1, 0, 1 [5.1.0.1] File Description: Elby Delay Lower Filter Driver Product Name: CDRTools Product Version: 5, 1, 0, 1 [5.1.0.1] Company Name: Elaborate Bytes AG Copyright: Copyright © 2003 - 2006 Elaborate Bytes AG Filter Name: AnyDVD File Name: C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\AnyDVD.sys File Version: 6.5.1.8 File Description: AnyDVD Filter Driver Product Name: AnyDVD Product Version: 6.5.1.8 Company Name: SlySoft, Inc. I have a problem with my Bd re. The first time I burnt some data on the disc and there were no problems. Then i tried to burn something else and hoped that imgburn would erase the disc automatically. The device buffer went up to 3% and the stopped. Write rate was 0.1x and the write retries increased every two secons...i stopped the burn process and then i see: synchronise cache faile! reason: unknown I tried to format the disc under Vista but without success (by the way, do i have to format a Bd re the second time i want to burn something on it?) are really the Verbs the problem? sorry for my english.... so you think its the Sony BD RE that causes the troubles? I have updated to the new firmware, but i cant format the disc... When i try a full erase it says: I/O error! Device:[3:0:0] HL-DT-ST-BD-RE GGW-H20L YL05 (E:) (ATA) ... interpretation: check condition .... interpretation: write (10) - sectors: 0 - 31 ... interpretation: cannot write medium - incompatible format so probably it`s the Sony BD RE...
